Our Data Sources & Methodology

• Gold & Silver: International spot prices (XAU/XAG) and USD/INR exchange rate from MetalPriceAPI, converted to Indian retail-equivalent pricing using a duty factor calibrated against published IBJA (India Bullion and Jewellers Association) reference rates. City prices apply a fixed local premium on top of the Delhi base rate to reflect state taxes and local market conditions.
• Currency: Live exchange rates sourced from the European Central Bank via frankfurter.app.
• Petrol & Diesel: City-wise prices sourced from PurePriceIO, which aggregates Indian oil marketing company (IOC/BPCL/HPCL) pricing data. If the live source is temporarily unavailable, we display the most recent verified reference price and clearly label it as static data rather than presenting it as live.

Every price page on DhanDaily shows a "Live" or "Static reference data" badge so you always know whether you're looking at a real-time figure or a fallback value, along with the last-updated date.

Editorial Team

Content, guides, and city-level market context on DhanDaily are written and maintained by the DhanDaily Editorial Team. Each city page includes original local market context, traditions, and buying tips researched individually — not a generic template repeated with the city name swapped in.
